This policy explains how the SELV website handles information for our personal fashion search service. We use the details in your request to select clothing options and email your shortlist. No account is required.

Your search request

The “Try it” form asks for your email address, a description of what you’re looking for and the country the items need to ship to. You can optionally add your usual size, height, bust, waist, hips and inseam measurements, material preferences, fabrics to avoid, fit, style, coverage and budget.

When you select “Send my request”, the form sends those details to our form service so the SELV team can read your brief, look for relevant clothing and email your shortlist or follow-up questions. We also send a fixed request-type and website-source label. Sending a request does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

Remembering details on your device

If you choose “Remember my measurements and preferences on this device”, we save your measurements, usual size, fabric choices, fit, style, coverage, budget and shipping country in this browser’s local storage. This is off until you choose it.

Remembered details are filled in on your next visit in the same browser and can be edited. They are not an online profile and are not synchronised between devices. Remembering details does not send them to SELV. When you submit a request, the measurements and preferences currently shown in the form are included in that submission.

Uncheck the remember option to remove saved details, or use “Clear saved details” in the request form to remove them and reset those fields. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser. Local copies remain until removed; clearing them does not delete a request already sent to our team.

Who can read your request

Our team reads submitted requests to provide this service. Form entries are handled by our form service and may be delivered to our team’s email inbox. The form service and email provider may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver messages and prevent abuse. Read the form provider’s privacy policy for its practices and processing locations. We do not promise that information is stored only in Australia.

Our hosting provider may process normal request information, including IP addresses, browser details and access logs, to serve and protect the website. Fonts and images are served with the website.

Website analytics

Analytics are not enabled in this preview. The site does not set analytics cookies or store tracking identifiers. Optional local storage is used only for the details you choose to remember.

Retailers and affiliate links

Products shown on the website are fictional examples of the kind of notes a shortlist can include. Retailer links in real emails may use affiliate attribution under the retailer or network’s own privacy policy. We identify affiliate links. We do not send your measurements, email or request text to retailers for advertising.

Your choices and retention

You can browse without submitting anything, and all measurements and preference fields are optional. We use submitted information to respond to your request and related follow-up. We keep it only as needed for those purposes and applicable requirements. You can contact SELV to request access, correction or deletion of a submitted request; clearing browser storage only removes the local copy.

Please include only information relevant to the clothing search. You do not need to provide medical information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
